A general cargoship owned by bankrupt Flinter Group has been arrested in France.

France Bleu reported the 6,400-dwt Flinterdijk (built 2000) was held on behalf of a Spanish fuel supplier over an unpaid bill.

Nine crew on board are seeking guarantees from Flinter’s banks for one and a half months of wages they are owed.

Three of the seafarers are from Russia, one from Ukraine and five from the Philippines.
