Malaysian Bulk Carries has seen its second quarter loss almost double.

The Bursa Malaysia-quoted owner logged a loss of MYR 40.5m ($10.10m) for the three months to the end of June, deeper than the MYR 21.5m red figure seen 12 months previously.

Revenue fell from MYR 58.1m to MYR 55.4m year-on-year.

"The dry bulk market continues to remain difficult,” the shipowner said in its quarterly report.
