Canada Steamship Lines (CSL) has acquired a handysize bulker from Japan’s Okouchi Kaiun KK.
According to brokers, CSL is paying $7.4m for the 28,400-dwt Cape Knox (built 2006).
Okouchi Kaiun recently put the Shimanami-built Cape Knox on the sales market after a 10-year charter to Pacific Basin came to an end. The ship is said to have been inspected by Kuwaiti interests before the sale to CSL.
