Scorpio Bulkers remains mum on what it will do with $24.2m in net proceeds from the recent sale of two vessels. 

But the deal aims to show investors that company can be on sound financial footing for the long run.

As TradeWinds first reported, the Emanuele Lauro-led company took advantage of a better dry bulk asset values to unload the 81,600-dwt SBI Cakewalk and SBI Charleston (both built 2014) to DryShips in a $45m deal.
