Diana Shipping has signed a term charter with Glencore that will tie up a kamsarmax bulker for at least 14 months.
The trader's Glencore Agriculture arm has chartered the 81,500-dwt Astarte (built 2013) for up to 17 months at $9,000 per day, minus a 5% commission.
The charter is expected to begin on 12 June.
Baltic Exchange data show that the charter has the longest term for a kamsarmax fixture since March.
