Empros Lines has significantly renewed its fleet, buying two dry bulk vessels on the secondhand market that are seven years younger than another pair of ships it sold earlier.
Clients of the Greek company have emerged as buyers of the 58,700-dwt Maritime Emerald (built 2009) for $14.5m, sources say. The ship was reported sold by Japan’s Orient Line to unidentified Greek buyers in late April.
