New York-listed bulker owner Eagle Bulk Shipping has sold a nine-year-old ship as it renews its fleet with 11 modern ultramaxes.
Sources say the company has disposed of the Dayang-built, 53,000-dwt bulker Wren (built 2008) to a Greek buyer for $8m. The company did not respond to TradeWinds’ request for comment.
Earlier this month, Eagle Bulk reportedly sold the sistership Woodstar (built 2008) to an undisclosed buyer for $8.2m.
