JP Morgan Asset Management is tipped to have extended its buying spree with the addition of a supramax bulker at an eye-catching price.

TradeWinds reported yesterday that the sale of the 57,900-dwt Ocean Symphony (built 2012) was being closely followed amid the expectation the disposal would set a new price level for such ships.

Multiple sale-and-purchase sources suggest that the Andy Dacy-led fund has scooped up the unit at a price of just $15.2m.
