Jinhui Shipping and Transportation chairman Siu Fai Ng has dipped into his pocket to support a rights issue by the bulker owner.
He has spent NOK 1.2m ($128,000) on stock as part of the issue launched earlier this month.
Following the move the chairman holds, or has the right to, 2,842,245 Jinhui shares.
Ng also controls two thirds of the shares in patient Jinhui Holdings Company, which holds a near 55% slice of Jinhui Shipping and Transportation.
