Taiwan's U-Ming has posted a big jump in profit as revenue rose in the third quarter.

Net earnings to 30 September were TWD 480.56m ($15.98m) from TWD 7m a year ago.

Revenue surged to TWD 1.9bn against TWD 1.54bn in 2016.

Costs were kept to TWD 1.86bn from TWD 1.72bn previously, however.

The company is listed with 39 ships, including two 81,500-dwt units on order at Oshima in Japan.
