Norwegian bulker owner Torvald Klaveness has said its use of data analytics and fleet positioning helped boost results from its pools in the first quarter.

The company said that by adjusting coverage using these twin factors, it gave members "full market upside" to 31 March.

The Bulkhandling Supramax pool had a daily result of $10,850 in March, which was $975 above the Nasdaq's SM10TC benchmark, it added.
