A federal judge in San Francisco has overturned a ban on an Oakland City terminal shipping coal to Asia.
The city council had barred exports due to environmental and health concerns, the Sun Advocate daily reported.
US district judge Vince Chhabria stuck out the ban, ruling that the council did not have enough evidence that operations would threaten health or safety.
