Russian producer Rusal has resumed shipping aluminium after the US extended a deadline for customers to wind down contracts.
Reuters cited a metal industry source as saying: “Aluminium is being shipped. Parties who have existing contracts are starting to take deliveries.”
The deadline for US clients to halt business with Rusal has been moved to 23 October from 5 June.
