Theseizure of the 93,700-dwt Hebei Shijiazhuang (built 2011) follows the filing ofa complaint led by World Fuel Services (WFS) in Norfolk, Virginia.
The bunkergiant claims it is owed over $700,000 for fuel delivered to the vessel onbehalf of charterer Tramp Maritime Enterprises late last year.
WFS isseeking more than $800,000 to cover the unpaid invoice, interest and attorneyfees, according to court documents.
