Its K Line (India) Private Limited (KLIN) unit will "enter into coastal shipping operations," it said.
It started the domestic business with a 55,000-tonne shipment from the east coast to Mumbai on the west coast using a spot-chartered bulker.
"This transportation was introduced to meet an increase in demand for coastal transportation of bulk cargo such as iron ore and coal," it said.
