Rizzo Bottiglieri’s 176,200-dwt Roberto Rizzo (built 2009) has been picked by the trader and owner at $27,500 daily over five to seven months, the Baltic Exchange says.
It marks SwissMarine’s eleventh period capesize deal of the year, according to Clarksons, and follows the hire yesterday of the Star Borealis (built 2011) for five to eight months at $27,000 daily.
As TradeWinds reported, that charter marked the highest rate paid for a capesize on any period contract since December 2010, Clarksons' data showed.
