Lauritzen Bulk president PeterBorup says the Danish operator is still upbeat about 2014 despite lacklustre earnings as of late.
“We are still cautiouslyoptimistic for 2014. Shipping is not easy. Shipowners are just like farmers,it’s either bad weather or storms, or rain – it’s never good,” he noted at amedia briefing in Copenhagen.
On Tuesday, supramax rates outperformed other segments of the spot market at day rates hit approximately $9,500 on average.
