The ship has been sold to India for some $500 per ldt or $20.4m.
Neu bought the Daewoo-built ship as a single-hulled VLCC, GrandExplorer, from Sinotrans for $37m in March 2008.
It was converted toan ore carrier in 2010.
Neu, which is listed with a fleet of 15large bulkers and six LPG carriers, is renewing its fleet and has two180,000-dwt bulkers on order at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for deliveryin 2016.
