Crews for Canadian operator Seaspan Marine voted unanimously today in favour of a strike, said Peter Lahay, who is the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF)'s coordinator for Canada.
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Local 400 is expected to give its strike notice later this week, meaning the action could begin by Sunday, he told TradeWinds.
