New York-listed Diana has fixed the 82,000-dwt Myrto (built 2013) for 11 to 14 months at $9,850 daily.
Diana says the deal will be worth at least $3.25m for the company.
Simeon Palios-led Diana bought the ship as a resale for $26.5m.
The deal comes with spot rates in the doldrums at $7,000 daily, half the level of a year ago, according to Clarksons Capital Markets.
