The 8,700-dwt Sevastopol (built 2001) left its anchorage off Mumbai on Tuesday and was finally tracked down by the coast guard ship Agrim 204km offshore.
The Russian-flagged vessel, operated by Gudzon Shipping of Vladivostok, was the subject of an arrest order by Madras high court in a commercial dispute with NTC Logistics, the Times of India reported.
The coast guard said the vessel was heading to UAE.
