The bulker owner posted deficit of $7.7m attributable to shareholders, down from $9.6m in the corresponding period.
Turnover from its vessels stood at $46.1m, improving from $39.5m in the last quarter of 2013.
Diana explained this rise was due to the expansion of its fleet which was offset by lower charter rates.
The net loss for the 12 months of 2014 was brought down to $15.4m
