Heidmar Inc is breaking into the dry-bulk sector, forging a new joint venture with the existing pools operation of New York-based TBS Ocean Logistics.
The alliance will see Heidmar lend its pool experience and ship-management software and transparency to TBS’ existing pools in the handysize to supramax category of geared bulkers.
The pools currently include 20 vessels and expect to add new tonnage, including entries by Mitsubishi Corp of Japan in the handysize and supramax categories.
