Norden is in no hurry to sell off its post-panamax and handysize bulkers as it looks to streamline its dry cargo business.

Its last owned capesizes have been sold as part of a tighter ownership strategy initiated by chief executive Jan Rindbo focusing purely on investment in panamax and supramax bulkers and MR and handysize tankers.

Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting today, Rindbo said: “Even though we will no longer invest in other vessel types within dry cargo than supramax and panamax going forward, we will not be having a fire sale of our post-panamax vessels and owned handysize vessels.
