Danish owner J Lauritzen is replacing Jan Kastrup-Nielsen as CEO with Torm’s chief financial officer (CFO).
Mads Zacho will make the short journey between the respective Copenhagen head offices as soon as possible, but no later than 1 December, Lauritzen said.
The decision was made as a result of its search for a new CFO.
“The board considered a range of options, and in this connection decided to reduce the executive management team,” the owner said.
