A Hanjin Shipping bulker arrested in South Africa last week has been released.

The company said the 82,000-dwt Hanjin Paradip (built 2013) resumed sailing on 27 May, after being held in Richards Bay by its owner over unpaid charter fees.

The Korean company said it had agreed with "relevant parties" that its successful financial restructuring was in "everyone’s interests".

It was thus decided that the ship should trade again and its arrears should be resolved through further talks.
