China’s Zhejiang Henghui Shipping has arrested Malaysian Bulk Carriers’ (Maybulk) 58,000-dwt bulker Alam Molek (built 2014) in Singapore.
The ship was seized on Wednesday evening by lawyers from the legal firm of Gurbani & Co.
Court documents reveal that the Alam Molek was arrested as security for a collision damage claim filed by Zhejiang Henghui in the High Court of Singapore. The amount the company is seeking was not listed.
