Torm has continued its fleet renewal effort with the sale of two older tankers.

The Danish owner has also inked a third sale-and-leaseback transaction of 2017, it revealed as it posted a reduced first quarter profit today.

Copenhagen-listed Torm has sold both the 35,800-dwt Torm Trinity and the Torm Madison (both built 2000), the quarterly report said.

The latest ship involved in a leaseback is the 46,000-dwt Torm Vita (built 2002), following two others in the first quarter.
