The recently retired chief executive of Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) received a lump-sum severance payment of $3.2m and overall compensation topping $6.1m in 2016, according to filings.

OSG veteran Ian Blackley departed the company in December after it spun off its foreign-flag fleet into the new International Seaways and OSG turned into a pure-play US-flag shipowner.

Blackley’s retirement corresponded with the departure of Rick Oricchio as OSG’s chief financial officer.
