Greece has plans to take advantage of Brexit and try to persuade UK-based shipping companies to move their headquarters to Athens.

Shipping minister Panagiotis Kouroublis said in an interview that the government is in contact with “five large ship insurance brokers who are considering various EU member countries for the transfer of their headquarters”.

Kouroublis did not name the companies but  added that further meetings will take place in June at the latest to discuss the terms.
