American Steamship Co (ASC) is seeing 2017 profit despite flat volumes for cargo on the Great Lakes.
ASC, the marine division of railcar lessor GATX, reported second-quarter segment profit of $6.5m, compared to $4.2m in the year earlier quarter. Year-to-date segment profit was $6.3m, up 23% from a year ago.
