Gust Biesbroeck is out as global head of transportation at ABN Amro after nearly a decade in which he oversaw a rebuilding of the Dutch bank’s shipping practice.
Biesbroeck is said to have informed clients before Christmas of his retirement from the bank. However, the end of his tenure has been described as “a surprise” to others at ABN Amro and to Biesbroeck himself.
