Seanergy Maritime Holdings remained in the red for the first quarter as bad weather and Chinese New Year celebrations weighed on the dry cargo arket.

The Stamatis Tsantanis-led company posted net loss of $3.4m, down from a $6.3m net loss a year earlier. Revenue came in 60% higher at $21.3m.

Tsantanis said stronger rates on a year-on-year basis had combined with fleet growth to improve the results.
