Chatter in the market today suggests the 145,700-cbm Golar Maria (built 2006) had been tied up on a three-year deal at $135,000 daily.

Marius Foss of Golar rubbished the idea when contacted by TradeWinds today.

“That is a good rumour,” he said. “Unfortunately, it is not true.”

Foss says the ship remains open in the market for “anything and everything”.

Chat surrounding the potential charter surfaced just a day after Golar signed a deal with LNG Partners, which could see two of its newbuildings find long-term employment.
