The containerline has already gained 7% during the firstweek of 2013 to add to the 5% rise in December.

OCBC analysts Lim Siyi and Andy Wong say the rise comes onthe back of freight rates holding firm while bunker prices continue to decline.

“The China-Europe trade route in particular has experienced anuptick in spot freight rates following an increase in imports into China,” theysaid in a note to clients.
