Baltic has picked up two capes and a pair of handysized vessels this year, adding to a trading fleet which also includes supramaxes.
President John Wobensmith says the owner has not deliberately avoided the panamax sector.
In a conference call after the company reported its third quarter results, he said: “If we found opportunities in the panamaxes we would definitely jump on it.”
