The Oslo-listed owner recently agreed to sell its holding in Reef to Norwegian private equity heavyweight HitecVision for NOK 175m ($29m) with the deal expected to go through in March.
However Reef’s performance was mainly to blame for Rieber plummeting to a deficit of NOK 73.5m for the three months to 31 December compared to a profit of NOK 90.7m in final leg of 2012.
