The company, owned 60% by John Angelicoussis’ Maran Gas, has closed an $807.4m facility with Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and Barwa Bank to bring the unspecified ships across.
Maran Gas confirmed the vessels are three of its newbuildings under construction at DSME in Korea. The owner has a total of 17 gas ships on order at Hyundai Heavy, Hyundai Samho and DSME.
