The company announced it was contemplating an issue of senior unsecured paper to be listed on the Oslo stock exchange.
It gave no further details, but said a listing would take place as soon as possible.
DNB Markets, Nordea Markets and SEB have been appointed as joint lead managers.
GasLog owns 21 vessels, including seven on order.
