ALJ has bought a 13.7% slice of the Evangelos Pistiolis-led shipowner, an SEC filing shows.
The 2.5 million shares controlled by the new investor are today worth $5.63m.
Various ALJ funds control the stock, but the overall stake is in the hands of ALJ Capital Management and Lawrence Gill, Jeffrey Fishman and Ron Silverton.
ALJ’s investment is the largest disclosed holding in the resurgent products tanker owner, which took delivery of its first eco MR in the past week, outside of the stake held by Pistiolis himself.
