AP Moller’s A shares gained 4.479% to DKK 13,530 ($2,422) each and its B shares added 4.815% to DKK 14,150 apiece in the hours after the quarterly report became public.

Its progress follows a path predicted by analysts at DNB Markets who said a second quarter earnings beat and stronger guidance on 2014 profit would drive the stock up today.
