The shipbuilder, who projected it would make JPY 1.76bn ($14.8m) a week ago, posted earnings of JPY 1.74bn for 2014 compared to JPY 970m a year ago.
Revenue for the year was JPY 48.7bn, just JPY 2bn higher than in the corresponding year.
Following this performance, Sanoyas said it expects a profit of JPY 500m for 2015 but it did not explain the reasons for this anticipated decline.
