Longtime banker Morten Arntzen is returning to his roots to support a countercyclical charge into shipfinance by the Macquarie Group of Australia.
Arntzen was a shipping banker for more than 20 years before taking the helm as chief executive of Overseas Shipholding Group in 2004. He is currently the executive chairman of Danish chemical-carrier owner Team Tankers.
Arntzen tells TradeWinds the timing couldn’t be better for Macquarie to increase its shipping presence.
