Three months after Rickmers Holding filed for insolvency, German shipowner Bertram Rickmers has teamed up with Zeaborn Group to buy its shipmanagement division in a deal that secures the future of the company.
The duo won a bidding process for Rickmers Holding's global operation, according to a statement.
The shipmanagement activities are mainly based in Hamburg, Singapore and Cyprus.
Rickmers Holding said: "It has only taken a few months after preliminary self-administration of the assets of Rickmers Holding was ordered to find a solution for continuing the business."
