Christen Sveaas' shipping investment company Kistefos is looking to issue new bonds to partially refinance existing notes and for use as working capital.

The news comes after a difficult first half of the year for the Oslo-listed company, which saw losses on its investments, due to a coronavirus-induced stock market downturn.

According to a regulatory filing, Kistefos is considering issuing new four-year, NOK-denominated senior unsecured floating-rate bonds, subject to market conditions.
