Boxship giant Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) has finalised financing worth $439m to fit 86 scrubbers on its vessels.
BNP Paribas (BNPP) is the co-ordinating bank and agent on the deal, which involves a syndicate of four other lenders.
The cash will go towards the manufacturing and installation of the exhaust gas cleaning systems.
Law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised BNPP on the deal.
