German owner Marenave Schiffahrts has closed the book on a major restructuring exercise after completing a transaction that takes Emanuele Lauro’s Scorpio Group into the car carrier segment for the first time.
Marenave will be left without any vessels but it is ready to rebuild alongside the Offen Group and DEVK insurance, a statement said.
Marenave’s banks are releasing it from its liabilities following partial replacement of debt on its former fleet.
