Singapore is to provide subsidies for companies providing cadet training berths in a further attempt to help struggling shipowners.
“In light of the challenges faced by the shipping industry we will be introducing a Training Berth Relief Support,” the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) said.
“This new scheme aims to help shipping companies sustain their efforts in cadet training by alleviating a part of their training costs.”
