Two LNG carriers are being put to new uses to supply product in smaller parcels into China for trader Jovo Group Co.
TradeWinds understands that the 152,300-cbm Seri Bakti (built 2007) will be used as a mothership based in Subic Bay in the Philippines from which cargoes will be offloaded onto smaller tonnage.
Sources explain that the 65,000-cbm LNG Lerici (built 1998) will be taking one of the first cargoes in a ship-to-ship operation and taking this shipment into China.
