Norwegian gas tanker owner IM Skaugen says the first LNG cargo from its contract in Ghana will be shipped in July.

Insiders in the country had said that the Endeavour Energy-led project to supply LNG to the Ghana 1000 power project had stalled, while European brokers had claimed that the $420m deal was dead.

In  January, Skaugen outlined the scope of the 10-year deal in its preliminary first quarter report, stating the contract would cover three multigas carriers.
